WHAT’S ON

There are services and events happening throughout the week, as well as on Sundays. We have amazing groups for kids and youth as well as a regular rhythm of prayer.

Check out the church calendar for a full list of events.

SUNDAYS

8:45 Service

A sacramental and contemplative service rooted in the Anglican tradition.

This is a quieter, reflective space where we encounter God through Scripture, stillness, and Holy Communion.

Whether you come full of faith or full of questions, there’s space for you here.

CATCH UP

Missed a Sunday or want to revisit a talk?
Catch up on recent messages and moments from St Mark’s.

10:30 Service

A vibrant service of contemporary worship, teaching from the Bible, and encounter.

We expect God to meet us as we gather. Children and young people have their own groups, and there’s a real sense of community across the whole church and all ages.

KIDS

Raising children is a big adventure — and we’re with you every step.

We help children discover life with Jesus through fun, safe and creative faith-building.

  • We worship together as a whole church family to start our service for around 10 minutes. Kids can then go out to their groups.

    Sparklers | 0–4 Years
Rockets | Reception to Year 4

  • Refresh | Wednesdays 10:00–11:30am

Refresh is a fun and safe space for babies, toddlers, and carers to chat, play and meet new people.

YOUTH

At St Mark’s, we are passionate about the emerging generation encountering God and seeing them start the adventure of living life with Jesus.

Whether you have been coming to church for years or it’s your first time, we think you’ll love it!

  • Join us every Sunday at the 10:30am service for our youth sessions - a time to connect, grow in faith, and have fun together! We start in the main service for worship and then head out to Youth for games, a short talk, and small groups.

Game Changers | Year 5 to Year 9
    Sunday 6:30pm | Year 8 to Year 11

  • Youth Café | Year 6 and 7

We meet from 4:30– with plenty of time to hang out, eat snacks, and play games together. Then we dive into worship, a short talk.

PRAYER

  • Seek First | Once a month we gather for Seek First which is an extended time of worship and prayer where we contend for God’s kingdom to come in North Nottingham as in heaven. On these evenings St Mark’s gathers to ‘seek his kingdom first’ to see hearts on fire on hope come alive. [appropriate exciting invitation needed]

Julian Prayer | Once a month we gather for Julian Pryer, a contemplative, silent prayer inspired by the 14th-century mystic, Julian of Norwich. It focuses on silence, stillness, and surrendering to God's love and awaiting God’s presence. [appropriate invitation needed]

  • Morning Prayer | Every Thursday at 7.30am we gather on Zoom to do Morning Prayer (Common Worship) a form of prayer prayed by millions of Christians across the church of England and the Anglican Communion.

  • BREAD | A 12-month Bible reading plan and devotional tool following the Church of England lectionary, based on the ancient practice of lectio divina, helping people to read prayerfully through Scripture.
